CHAPTER EIGHT: CRAZED

The partying isn’t what it used to be since I had Josie for the first time. I do my best to stay away from her. It’s getting harder every day. I want her so bad that it hurts my heart. I know she isn’t my sister and I’m glad, but I still see my sisters vacant eyes all the time. When Layla was telling her about her mother, I wanted to hold her. I can’t believe that she was kidnapped as a kid. I was holding her when everyone was being briefed. When she tried to leave a few weeks ago it pissed me off. When she was kidnapped, I knew I wouldn’t be able to stay away from her too long. I down my drink and get up from the bar. “Where are you going?” My brother asked.

“I’m done for the night. I’m going to check on Josie,” I answered.

“Why do you keep playing the fence with her?” My brother asked.

“What?” I growled.

“We all know you want her. She wants you. What is the problem?” He asked.

“She reminds me of Toya Monster,” I answered.

“You do know that she isn’t Toya. She is stronger. I don’t want to make you mad but I’m just making a point. Josie made it,” Monster said.

“I know. I just can’t get my sister out of my head,” I answered. I leave him there and go to my room. I softly open the door but when I see she isn’t there I get pissed. I go straight to Beast room. I bang on the door.

“My woman is sleeping so this better be good,” Beast growls from inside the door. When he swings the door open, he is butt ass naked. I don’t pay him any mind. I’m used to it. “What do you want Jackass?” He is surprised when he sees me.

“Josie isn’t in here, is she?” I asked.

“What? She’s not in your room,” Harmony asks as she sits up.

“I went to my room to check on her and she was gone,” I answered.

“Shit. She’s running,” Harmony says.

“What baby?” Beast asks as he turns and looks at her.

“Get dressed please,” Harmony says as she looks at my brother. “Close the door. I need to put my clothes on,” He closed the door, and I heard commotion from behind the door. “I knew she was going to do it. She is so damn hardheaded. I told her she was safer here, but she does what she wants,”

“I know boo,” Beast says.

“She is going to get herself killed,” Harmony says.

“Calm down. Let’s get out there and see if we can find her,” Beast says to Harmony. They walk out of the room a few minutes later. I follow them out into the party. He looks at one of our brothers and makes a cut with his hand. When the music stopped everyone turned to Beast. “Anyone seen Josie?”

“Yeah. I saw her as she was leaving,” One of my brothers yelled. He walked up to us.

“Let’s go where we hold church so we can talk,” Beast says.
